Not so Traditional Christmas Tree Ornaments

There are plenty of traditional ornaments you can put on your Christmas Tree but here is a selection of rather non-traditional choices. The tradition of decorating a tree can be traced back by more than 1500 years to Germany and Latvia. It started with simple white candles, then evolved with roses, and later paper roses, nuts, and sweets were added. Centuries later tinsel was added as well as baked goods such as gingerbread or other hard cookies in shapes like hearts, angels, stars, or bells. In the late 1800 glass manufacturers in Germany started producing glass ornaments and glass balls with simple decoration patterns.

Hundreds of years later we can chose from a huge selection of traditional and non-traditional ornaments to meet our individual needs: cartoon inspired, political, funny, naughty, photo-frames, digital, and other types of ornaments.
